Monod Landscape Art from Western Canada’s National Parks
This November my landscape paintings “Aspen Glow” and “Reaching Elevation” have a new home in the Tank Room at Arta Gallery! Here’s a photo from yesterday’s visit. Come by to see them today and other beautiful work at this lovely Contemporary Art Gallery based in Toronto’s historic Distillery District.
For a little over a year now I have been Mapping the Great Divide with brushes and paint. All it took was an early snowfall to trigger my most cherished memories of Revelstoke, Lake Louise and Banff. These paintings from British Columbia to Alberta are inner souvenirs.
Fast forward a year… and what was created in my home studio this past year has found many ways to breath new life into several Ontario art galleries. I feel very grateful to Arta Gallery for hanging my art in their Tank Room! The strong architectural elements of this space, greatly add to the strength and vibrant colour in my landscapes. My work with its blend of impressionism and expressionism feels balanced and really sings here. So exciting!
I am inspired by Canada and am very thankful for this wonderful year of painting many landscapes from Western Canada. There are 2 painting series: “Mapping the Great Divide” and “Sentimental Journeys.”
Thank you Arta Gallery for representing me and my work.
