Central Okanagan Hospice, Group Art Exhibition

Tina Monod, Ontario, August 14, 2015 – I am very excited to be participating with over 20 artists in this Juried Art Exhibition being held at the Alternator Gallery in Kelowna, British Columbia. Please join the Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA) in their goal of moving the conversation of living until death, from behind closed doors and into the community. Exhibition “Expressions of Death: dying, grief and life after” will run from September 3 – 19, 2015.

It is a wonderful feeling to be sharing my art in this group exhibition. As an artist I am proud to be a part of this show, and in a setting that honours loved ones. It is my deepest wish that the acrylic paintings I share, will help others to feel inspired, engage, and open up about their own experiences and moments. Quality of care and dignity are so important. Artists are bringing together some powerful and positive memories here.

Special thanks to Karen Kuchta, Associate Director of Education at COHA and the Alternator Gallery team! Also thank you to the jurors Alex Fong, Jolene Mackie and Laurie Koss!

Ontario Shores Art Gallery, Solo Art Exhibition

Tina Monod, Ontario, August 7, 2015 – Local Whitby artist and designer Tina Monod is proud to be the new Guest Artist at Ontario Shores Art Gallery this September. This is a fun month for sharing creativity! September is a magical time of year for all the art events in the Durham region and that magic is the emotion on Tina’s brushes. Solo exhibition “Walk With Me” will run from September 2 – 30, 2015.

I am very excited for this opportunity to share my art at Ontario Shores Art Gallery in Whitby, Ontario. The area surrounding this part of Lake Ontario and Lynde Shores is always an inspiration when I walk my dog and take photos of nature. It is a pleasure to have my paintings in a setting where they can give people new and different windows on the world, both from Whitby and Italy. As a local artist, I look forward to sharing my landscapes here! This really is perfect as many of the acrylic paintings in this solo exhibition have origins near by. There is always something blooming and thriving on the surrounding grounds and gardens which are so beautifully landscaped.

Special thanks to Liz Onley-Wiseman, Manager Volunteer Services, Ontario Shores Art Gallery and her team!
